Meet Our Trainers
Our certified trainers are DCWs or work closely with them, bringing their work experience to our curriculum. They are equipped with strategies for teaching adult learners and supporting DCWs with workplace competencies.
Eric Streeter
Eric joined IMPART Alliance as a trainer in June 2025, bringing several years of experience in roles closely tied to direct care work. He began his career as a Certified Nursing Assistant before moving into an administrative position at an HFA-licensed assisted living facility. Eric earned his bachelor’s degree in business/health care management from Northwood University in 2015 and later completed a master’s degree in organizational leadership in 2017.
Throughout his career, Eric has built a strong foundation of expertise through multiple certifications in dementia care, trauma, and mental health. After transitioning from healthcare administration to social services in 2020, he began pursuing a career as a clinical mental health therapist, completing his graduate training in December 2025.
Eric leads with patience, compassion, and a deep commitment to Michigan’s direct care workforce. Drawing from his firsthand experience as both a direct care worker and an administrator, he brings a unique perspective to his role as an instructor. He strives to equip direct care workers with essential skills and knowledge while fostering confidence through collaboration. In Eric’s view, direct care workers are the core of the healthcare system.
Outside of IMPART Alliance, Eric practices as an outpatient therapist and enjoys spending time with his family, partner, and pets.
Teresa Robbins
Teresa Robbins is a Master Trainer at IMPART Alliance with a longstanding commitment to strengthening and professionalizing the direct care workforce. She began her career in licensed group homes, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, many of whom relied on non-traditional forms of communication and had spent much of their lives in institutional settings. This early experience shaped her deep belief in dignity, autonomy, and person-centered care.
Over time, Teresa advanced into leadership roles, including developing and managing a Community Living Supports program in a rural community. In this role, she oversaw in-home staffing services and supported individuals to live independently in their own homes. She later worked with a Center for Independent Living, where she managed in-home staffing programs and served as a strong advocate for individuals navigating systemic and community-level barriers to care.
Teresa joined IMPART Alliance prior to the COVID-19 pandemic through the BTBQ train-the-trainer program and has continued to play a key role as the organization transitioned to virtual and hybrid training models. As a Master Trainer, she delivers modules across all four tiers of the Direct Care Worker Competency-Based Training, supports in-person labs, contributes to curriculum review, and provides mentorship and feedback to fellow trainers.
Her training approach centers on competency, confidence, and person-centered practice. Teresa is deeply motivated by the opportunity to elevate the direct care workforce and believes high-quality direct care is foundational to trust, safety, and wellbeing for individuals and families across Michigan.
“I’m proud to be a part of uplifting this workforce and building a world where people can trust that they or their loved ones can count on quality care when they need it, not just hope for it.”

She holds an MBA from Bellevue University and brings strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a steady leadership presence to every environment she enters. Shulamith is also a certified Direct Care Worker with experience that deepens her understanding of both client needs and staff responsibilities.

Today, in her current role, she combines her educational expertise, managerial experience, and DCW knowledge to deliver high-quality training and to foster teams that feel capable, appreciated, and prepared to excel.
