Casandra Karczewski

Human Resources Coordinator

Cassandra Karczewski serves as the Human Resource Coordinator at IMPART Alliance, where she plays a key role in hiring, onboarding, and structuring the organization to support Michigan’s direct care workforce. She joined IMPART Alliance in the fall of 2024, bringing with her a diverse professional background that blends healthcare, psychology, and nonprofit management.

Karczewski’s journey began in healthcare, where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for five years in both long-term care facilities and private homes. Initially pursuing a career in nursing, she realized that while she loved helping people, the emotional demands of the profession were not the right fit for her long term. This realization led her to shift her focus to psychology, earning an undergraduate degree with a concentration in mental health. She later earned an MBA in Human Resources, as well as certifications in nonprofit business management and public administration.

Her passion for structuring organizations, creating processes, and providing resources to help individuals succeed made human resources a natural fit. When she saw the opportunity at IMPART Alliance, which combined her background in direct care work with her expertise in HR and nonprofit services, she knew it was the perfect role.

At IMPART Alliance, Karczewski’s main responsibilities include facilitating the hiring and onboarding process, developing organizational structures, and ensuring that team members have the resources they need to thrive both professionally and personally. She values being part of a unified team that works toward the shared goal of strengthening Michigan’s direct care workforce.

“Claire likes to say we’re building the plane as we’re flying it, and we absolutely are,” Karczewski says. “It’s nice to see everyone collaborating and supporting one another.”

Outside of work, Karczewski dreams of one day moving to a warmer climate, though she admits she would miss Michigan’s lush greenery. She strives to be accessible and adaptable in her role, making herself available via email, Microsoft Teams, phone, or text, depending on what works best for each team member. Through her work at IMPART Alliance, she is committed to fostering a supportive and efficient workplace while contributing to the mission of improving the direct care workforce in Michigan.
