Building the Future of Direct Care, Together.
Why This Movement Matters?
Michigan is home to over 165,000 direct care workers (DCWs), making up a vital part of our state’s healthcare infrastructure. Guided by IMPART Alliance’s mission to increase the number of competent, economically secure DCWs, we’re working toward a stronger, more cohesive, and sustainable direct care workforce. Direct care workers deserve to feel valued, empowered, and supported, and this conference will bring them together to share experiences, build skills, and celebrate their essential role. It’s a space to foster community, inspire action, and honor the compassion, dignity, and dedication they bring every day.

This project has been made possible through a grant awarded to IMPART Alliance by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
At IMPART Alliance, we’re dedicated to transforming Michigan’s direct care workforce to meet the growing needs of our communities. A large and growing share of Michigan families rely on Direct Care Workers (DCWs), and we need a workforce that’s prepared to meet the challenge and trained to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. Together, we’re helping create a future where every person receives the care they deserve, and every DCW is empowered to make a lasting impact. Our work has been made possible through a grant awarded by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and we serve as conveners to facilitate a wide range of stakeholders and partners around the state.
