Migrating to East Lansing, Fall 2025

A Caregiver’s Butterfly Garden is coming to East Lansing—bringing with it a wave of color, compassion, and community connection. The installation, hosted at the Hannah Community Center, invites visitors to step into a whimsical, life-sized garden filled with hand-painted butterflies created by caregivers, students, and neighbors from across Michigan.

This exhibit is more than art—it’s advocacy in action. It honors the essential role of Direct Care Workers and addresses the growing need to recruit, retain, and uplift the people who make everyday living possible for so many. Through a strategic partnership with MSU AgeAlive and the Prime Time Seniors Program, this exhibit will also include community workshops, storytelling activities, and opportunities for older adults and local families to engage in meaningful ways.

Whether you’re a caregiver, family member, or advocate, this is your invitation to walk among the butterflies and be inspired to act.
